Puckhead Hockey Club was created to provide players of all levels (from beginners to pros) a fun, safe and affordable way to enjoy the game of organized ice hockey.

*What Makes Us Different From Traditional Pickup Hockey?

There are many differences but one of the most important is that our unique game format was created with focus on Skill Parity so that you always play with and against players of your same or similar skill level. Unlike traditional pickup hockey that simply groups everyone together and changes “on the fly”, our games are managed and structured by experienced Puckhead Admins who use a consistent rating process so that the more advanced players play on Line 1 and less advanced players play on Line 2.  We take it one step further to ensure that the overall skill rating on each line is balanced to provide each player the best game experience possible.  All our games are 90 minutes long and structured with no more than 20 skaters and 2 goalies.  We run 2 minute shifts so that all players get the same amount of play time and all players wear custom club jerseys so you can actually tell who you are playing with or against.  We take great care to provide our members a consistently fun experience. Being a Puckhead Hockey Club Member is a privilege and we have zero tolerance for selfish and unsportsmanlike like behavior.   

Its the perfect opportunity to make new friends and get a great work out while improving on your hockey skills in a friendly, non-judgmental environment free of the drama commonly associated with beer league and pickup style hockey. We offer multiple weekly games at venues around the area and add new games frequently so there are always options to fit any schedule.

As a club member you will also have the opportunity to join us in special event skates at NHL arenas and travel to tournaments around the US, Canada and Overseas.

Membership provides the opportunity for us to build a community of likeminded individuals looking for a better hockey experience. As a Club Member, you receive a $10 game fee discount, a free set of custom jerseys, a free skate on your birthday, compensation for referrals to new club members and the option to become a paid game admin so you can help promote and grow your club while getting paid to skate for free!  There are 3 membership levels to customize your experience and member benefits. *Free Equipment Assistance and Training.

We strive to remove the boundaries that make it difficult to get started playing. If you are new to the game and need equipment assistance we are here for you!  Through our Charitable Organization, PHC Charities, Inc. we can help new players obtain needed equipment and provide free learn to skate instruction.
